Change tuning midway through piece
I'm creating a medley-style arrangement with a large range of songs. One song is performed with Drop D bass guitar tuning and there is ample time either side where the bassist has a break to retune the guitar. I know how to change the tuning of a guitar but how could I make it so that it only periodically changes and reverts when the song has switched? Cheers.

I would suggest using two guitar staffs, one with drop D and the other with standard (or any other) tuning. After the song is entered use Style->General and check Hide empty staves and uncheck Do not hide empty staves in first system. The result will look like there is one guitar staff. You may need to put in a couple of line breaks to force the guitar change to end up on a new line.
