Increasing UI size using Command Line Options

• Jan 26, 2018 - 12:35

I am struggling to find a way to increase the size of the GUI on musescore.
trying to search for the answer myself i kept finding something about a "-x in command line" and have found the https://musescore.org/en/handbook/command-line-options webpage, however whenever i see instructions on how to use this it is EXTREMELY vague and directions on increasing icon size is always "just use the -x command"
Can someone please help me out and explain how to do this, when ever ive tried doing it as it says in the command line website the cmd prompt tells me that it is not a recognised internal or external command

-x is followed by a factor, so -x 2 should double the size.
There's also -D, followed by a DPI value.

I'm not sure how this can be construed as vague, even less as EXTREMELY vague:

-x, --gui-scaling
Scales the score display and other GUI elements by the specified factor, for use with high resolution displays.
-D, --monitor-resolution
Specify monitor resolution, for use with high resolution displays (as of version 2.1).

But if you can come up with something more clear, please do so!

I cannot get the command to work at all, by vague i mean in instructions on how to use it as i mentioned in the original post. no what the command does.

I say the instructions are vague as it does not explain how to use or trouble shoot the commands very well

EDIT: nvm i got it sorted now, i still feel like these command instructions need to be added on to make them clear
