Easy Lessons USING Musescore to teach Musescore?
I'm looking for Musecore file lessons that can be used to immediately used for leaning the software itself. So far I have tried setting up situations where notes can be dragged up and down to imitate a given example and unfortunately got a little carried away:

Ideally at least some lessons might be used at almost any age or level and also provide opportunities to switch instruments.

It's an interesting question! I'm not sure I understand you actual goal with the example posted, though - what about MuseScore are you attempting to teach?

I am actually in the process of putting together other similar teaching materials for a workshop I am teaching this weekend, and will probably be developing more over time.

This looks really great. My goal is to teach the use of the software and such a way that someone may feel empowered to do a little bit of composition right away. All three of our children grew up writing music at the computer and our youngest recently graduated with a degree in Music Composition. However I'm at present I'm teaching only one adult, as a favor, one on one. His primary interest is to learn to read music, but my thought was that if he perhaps learns to write at the same time one might help reinforce the other.
I'm also trying to promote use of Musescore by one young man I recently met. I believe he's about 11 and he wants to compose. He plays the piano and his mother is an architect. That's why I came up with that goofy little piece of music if you happen to have taken a look at it. I just met him at a party one night and I have no idea if he will really take to this. But I will certainly pass along that URL you sent me and as a matter fact I plan to look it over very carefully myself as well. I'll definitely be interested in anything you come up with for your workshop that you're able to pass along, Marc.
My own area specialization, by the way involves the use of tablature and retuning of strings on the viola da gamba. I am very motivated to try and promote the use of Musescore for this purpose, for transcribing music and working out problems that exist as well as writing new music in that genre. Some of the lyra viol tunings are quite exotic and do not have enough music that was written at that time in history that has survived. When I found out that Musescore 2 can now handle French tablature and the retuning of string instruments I was in near-ecstasy, as an open-source program that can deal with lyra viol music has been the holy grail for me for many years. Now I just need to come up with a system for organizing and storing the templates for various tunings of which there are approximately 60 in number.
