Crashes on attempt to remove weird double note head

• Feb 15, 2018 - 20:45

I was using rhythm and repitch Note entry modes. I was copying from sheet music that wouldn't import from pdf, so I wasn't really paying too much attention to the screen as I was doing this. Sprinkled throughout my score, typically in the sections of 8 eighth notes, there will be a double notehead. Like this... CaptureMusescore1.PNG

I don't know how they got there, I assume typing mistakes. No biggy. But when I try to delete it, by clicking on the extra head, or on the normal head, and pressing delete, the entire program crashes. Like repeatedly. Reliably. I can't reproduce the double note head thing. But I can reproduce the crash. Fortunately I can restore my session afterwards.

My interim solution was to copy an identical measure from elsewhere and paste it in place of the bad measure. Obviously not a solution to the actual bug, but an okay workaround. I did not attempt deleting the entire measure.

Oh, and the extra notehead is in the same voice as the rest of the notes, just in case you're wondering.

Nothing that weird about having two noteheads on the same note - this is perfectly valid as a way of notating a unison. And it should work to delete one or both of them. But of course it shouldn't crash. In order to investigate we'd need to attach your score and steps to reproduce the problem.
