Define Hotkeys for any musescore element

Dear musescore writers,

I'm looking for some usability features in musescore to make my life easier.
Defining shortcuts is wonderful. Is there a possibilty to define shortcuts for example for a straight line as it is presented in the extended line pallette the second last? I noticed that it is not the same as the line added with CTRL-ALT-L.

There was work done this past summer as part of a project that should make this possible. This is a feature I also greatly desire and am hopeful that it will be included in version 3.0 when it is eventually released.
