Figured Bass
Hi everyone,
I was working with figured bass and I don't understand why from 1 to 5 it's impossible to have a "slash".
You can see on the score attached that the figures have been created in the right way.
Is anyone have an idea?

This seems to be a deliberate restriction, presumably on the theory that there is no conventional musical situation in which it makes sense to try to denote such an interval in that way. I'm not a figured bass expert, but based on my understanding, I'm struggling to understand what that notation would mean. Do you have a real-world use case?
