Hi, I want to input a note but it keeps inputing a rest with it, so I want to delete it but I cant, I need help

If you wish to get rid of the eighth rest following your chord, overwrite the rest with any note/chord.
If you wish the chord to sound longer, enter it for a longer duration (longer than the current eighth note chord).
