Mac Crashing

Had a file that crashed, and when I try to reopen MuseScore it first says the previous session quit unexpectedly, restor session? Y/N

No matter which one i choose it open new tab in musescore but then gives me the rainbow circle of death, and it basically freezes the app to where it says not responding.

On mac with version 2.2.1
