No sound in new version.
I updated to the latest version of MuseScore 2 days ago. Since then, all my scores have NO sound. I hear nothing when I input notes, none of the playback options are clickable, and I cannot even open the play panel. I've tried to search for this subject already and the best I found was to manually delete synthesizer. I searched the entire MuseScore files and have been unable to locate synthesizer. I have no idea what's going on, but this needs to be fixed ASAP.

When people refer to the synthesizer, they mean the window that appears when you go to View / Synthesizer. Does that window work? If so, what appears there? Also go to Edit / Preferences / I/O and tell us what you see there.
Hard to say exactly what might be going on here, but I'd also try Help / Revert to Factory Settings.

Did you follow #270996: No sound on upgrade to 2.2 if default soundfont was saved as default?
OK, just did a reset to factory settings and sound is back. I'm lucky I had made no real changes to my set up because I'm a newbie. In response to the questions posed by Mark(?) View synthesizer does work - I got the picture of the synth OK. I didn't make any input though. I went to edit preferences and did a reset there too. finally did the reset to factory settings and all seems to be working now. Will report further if still problems.
