Salamander Grand Piano V3 sfz

• Apr 24, 2018 - 06:43

I've recently downloaded the Salamander sfz and imported every associated file (wav included) into the Soundfont folder, however every time I attempt to play it in Zerberus, no sound comes out. The other sfz files I have also do not play in the synthesizer, and I presume it is due to the abundance of velocity layers that hinders Musescore's ability to read. The sf2 files work perfectly fine though.

I have searched previous related support questions in this forum, but do not seem to understand any deviation from the steps I took. Also tried factory resetting twice to no avail.

Help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Have you selected the appropriate sounds for each instrument in the Mixer? Unless your SFZ is General-MIDI-compliant (which I am not sure is even possible for SFZ?) then you generally (sorry, no pun intended) need to tell MuseScore which sounds to use for each instrument.
