Playback not functioning
I have made no changes to Muscore but suddenly I cannot hear the notes as I enter them and playback does not work either by using the space bar or clicking on the play function after choosing a note. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong please?

Which version of MuseScore, what OS? What soundfont is listed in Synthesizer/Fluid?

I am using Muscore 2 on Windows 7. Then suddenly it started working again but I wonder what I did to turn it off?
MuScore_general.sf3 is listed.

I guess you mean MuseScore_General.sf3 (I don't know of any soundfont called MuScore_general.sf3) and assume MuseScore 2.2.1 (and only that and the very short living predecessor 2.2 have that soundfont).
Did you update to that recently?

Yes my capitals were in the wrong place. When I look at the properties it's just calls it MuseScore 2.ink and although I have been using it for at least 2 years it says it was created 4th April this year. I often get a pop up saying there is a new version but when I try and download it, it usually fails. I'm happy with this version as I'm no musician and it usually does what I want. Anyway, as I said before it suddenly started working again so perhaps closing down did the trick. If it happens again I shall pay more attention and ask again. Thank you for trying. Regards

The actual version is shown in the menu Help / About

Thanks. I had 2.2.0 so I have just updated to 2.2.1 I live and learn
