Voice 1 rests when working with four voices

I'm working with an SATB choir in a grand staff, with voices 1-2 in the upper staff and 3-4 in the other. In this one I keep having voice 1 rests, because Tenor and Bass are labelled as voices 3 and 4. I know I can make them invisible, but they're pretty annoying anyway and make it difficult to actually work on the score itself. Are there any plugins which automatically make them invisible, or is anyone who knows how to code willing to implement the software itself, to make them disappear? It would make life 1000 times easier, thanks in advance
