Install Soundfonts on MacOS?? (2018)

• May 3, 2018 - 02:59

I found a few Super Nintendo soundfonts online in the .sf2 format. I'm pretty good with technology for a kid, I'd say, but MuseScore is unexplored territory for me. I found a few video tutorials for installing .sf2 files into the MuseScore editor, but most of them were for Windows instead of MacOS, and all of them were outdated, broken links to Dropbox files, etc. If anyone could help me out, I would really, really appreciate it. I've attached a ZIP file of the "Mega Man X" soundfont folder I found if that helps, as well.

Oh, today's kids. Can't read, have to jump on youtube! Says the 19yo kid ;) Try this page in the Handbook: https://musescore.org/en/handbook/soundfonts-and-sfz-files#install and let me know if it was helpful.

Then, for future reference, try and seek instructions on MuseScore's written handbook before trying youtube. Reading won't kill you and the handbook is often spot on, helpful and well written. If that still doesn't answer your question, feel free to post here.
