Which forum?

If I want to ask questions or read discussions about the more arcane aspects of how MIDI channels and controllers work, would I find that here in the Soundfonts forum, or does a more specific forum exist for those topics? I have seen these mentioned on sporadic occasions, but typically only as background information to questions about soundfonts themselves instead of as a main topic. I've never done any significant work with MIDI hardware, I could just never commit the time or money toward it, so I am so far behind the learning curve that it's not even a curve from here, just a barely visible dot off in the distance. So to speak.
