Prokofiev piano scores

I'm not seeing many Prokofiev piano scores in the library. Is this due to copyright issues? or is it for some other reason?

As recently as Prokofiev died I'm sure that's the case. IMSLP was threaten with legal action by Prokofiev's heirs so they took all of his music down. His copyright will expire 5 March 2023.

Copyright varies by country. Try Canada - 50 years after author's death or 50 years after 1st publication of the work whichever is more recent. Just because it's legal in Canada, though, doesn't make it legal elsewhere.

That was the threat implied by the Prokofiev heir's lawyer. The IMSLP, which is based in Canada, is not be violating Canada's law, but it's making the scores available in the EU, for example, where it is a violation of THEIR copyright laws. I'm not taking sides in the conflict, just passing along the news I recently read concerning Prokofiev's music.
