Notes locate half way from being in a space or on a line of the staff ever since 2.2.1 installed on win 10

This occurred on four different projects for 25 piece big bands, and only in one or two bars horizontally or vertically. They can't be removed or corrected except by deleting all measures containing them which also includes all measures above or below for each instrument in the score. This effects the note pitches as well, one case I had four C's two sounding C others sounding B and C#
