Spanish version of "drumset"

• Jul 9, 2018 - 05:11

The word "drumset" is translated into Spanish both as "set de percusión" or "batería". The second one is much more official (see for instance, meanings 5 and 6) since "set" is not a Spanish word even if it is easily understood.
However, the Spanish-speaking percussion community frequently uses "set de percusión", but a google search yields 6 900 000 results for "batería + percusión" and only 330 000 hits for "set de percusión". And Google's N-gram yields many instances of "batería" in books but no result for "set de percusión".
