Paste command works differently in Lyrics mode

MS 2.2.1, 51b8386

  1. Create a measure like the following, say:
    paste_lyrics.png
  2. In Lyrics mode, copy the letter "A";
  3. Still in Lyrics mode, navigate to the next note and paste;
  4. Repeat for the next note.

Expected result: The paste command should continue working as normal.
Actual result: Only one paste application is possible.

This is actually by design. It allows you to take plain pre-hyphenated text (for example from a website/textdoc) and paste it syllable by syllable; each paste action advancing one syllable at a time.
