midi note input - ghost notes
HI
I am facing the following problem: I connected my old Roland 137R digital piano to my computer with a USB-
MIDI cable. When trying NOTE INPUT (step time or realtime) I am facing 2 problems:
(attached a sample file)
- hitting a key on my Roland will add 3 notes each time (one of them very high, the other one very close to the note I hit)
- each note that has been played will go on forever - I read in one of the topics that this can happen when the keyboard doesn't send a "note-off" signal. But on this old Roland there are no options for changing that.
Is this a lost case or am I doing something wrong?

Sounds like maybe your keyboard is in "layered" mode and sending multiple notes for each keypress. Try turning that off.
