How To notate repeats and jumps

A recurring topic in forums (and often in issues) is 'repeats and jumps'.
It would be nice if someone wanted to provide some examples (with illustrations) of the most recurrent 'orthodox' cases. In the forums there were very qualified answers but hard to track.
