Writing a score
I would like to be able to write violin/cello duets, string quartets, orchestra scores, etc. How do I change it so that I have multiple lines to work on for each instrument, on the same page? I would like to be able to see all parts at once to make sure they are aligned and also to be able to hear the playback all together.

There are templates for most of these so the instruments will have their own lines. You can start with one of these and as Shoichi suggested press I and add or subract instruments as appropriate.
