Adjust instrument sustain time
Hello,
I am trying to write music for guitar with an electronic sustainer, giving it essentially infinite sustain. However, it is not the case in Musescore, which is an issue for my use case.
Thus my question, is there a way to edit the sustain time of an instrument ? Different sounds for the same instrument (accessed through the Mixer) already change the sustain time, so maybe I could just create a new instrument sound (but I have no idea how to do that). I couldn't find much on the subject on the forum.

What you'd need to do is a find a soundfont that has such a sound. Standard GM soundfonts will have infinite sustain for wind instruments, organ, synthesized sounds, etc, but not for instruments that normally do decay. Someone probably created an infinite-sustaining guitar soundfont, though. See the Handbook for info on how to try different soundfonts.

Thanks ! I'll hunt for a soundfount like this and will attach it to the thread if I do find one. Else I'll just use a synthetizer or something like that, I suppose.
One thing you could do is to use the piano sustain throughout the part. The notes will eventually decay, but you'll get some nice overlaps. If you don't want the pedal symbol to be seen, make it invisible with V.
