A Clean and Practical Urtext Edition of Debussy's "Danse bohémienne"

• Aug 19, 2018 - 17:26

I made a clean and practical Urtext edition of Debussy's "Danse bohémienne" using MuseScore. The sheet music is carefully typeset with practical page turning and fingering.
The fingering source is from the Henle Edition. I am going to post it on the IMSLP, but I am concerned that references to Henle's fingering will cause a copyright issue, so I may remove the fingering later.

A few months ago, I switched from Windows to Linux, so I left Sibelius and started using MuseScore. Many users have said that MuseScore's typesetting functions are very poor, so I originally decided to use LilyPond to typeset and use MuseScore to compose music. I really like typesetting works and I have typeset sheet music for some publishers. My pursuit of music typesetting is very high. But LilyPond is too difficult to learn, and after I tried MuseScore for a while and fully adapted to the operation of MuseScore, I found that the typesetting functions of MuseScore are no worse than Sibelius, and some places are even better than Sibelius. Also, the community culture of open source software is also great, I got some answers to questions in the community. So I am now a hardcore fan of MuseScore!

The developers of the program will no doubt be glad to hear what you say about MuseScore. This is no surprise to me (just another user) since MuseScore's primary purpose is notation and therefore typesetting.
