Copy/cut selected lyrics to clipboard
There is currently a "Copy Lyrics to Clipboard." command, but this copies all lyrics. Could this command be expanded?
- Allow the user to select which lyrics are to be copied (if no selection is made, all lyrics are copied).
- Allow lyrics to be cut (as well as copied).

I came across it because I wanted to do the same thing you are describing, and it turns out there is a way in MuseScore already: select the range that contains the lyrics you want, right click the first syllable in the range, and in the "Lyric" pop-up menu, click Select -> All Similar Elements in Range Selection. At that point, just the lyrics are highlighted, and you can copy or cut them to the clipboard just as you would any other selection.
Although there already Is a way to do what you are describing (see my first reply above), I agree that expanding Edit -> Tool -> Copy Lyrics to Clipboard with an option for selecting just a subset of lyrics would be useful, as a user who wants to select just certain lyrics would intuitively go there. Alternatively, enable "Lyrics" on the Selection Filter; "Lyrics" is currently offered as an option under the Selection Filter, but it appears not to be functioning in the latest current version of MuseScore. Does the fact that it is there an option mean that making it functional is in the works for the next version?
