importing midi
I used Cubase, AI9 to lay down a midi piano part. It has a split staff program for notation, however, it doesn't allow me to add a secondary track for melody and lyrics, so I imported the midi into this one and the staffs were bass on top, treble on bottom(?) This is a 61 key keyboard. Is there a way to set this right , like a set point that (ex, middle C) that would separate the notes correctly? Thanks! 9262018.pdf

Was this MIDI file created with separate tracks, then? If so, MuseScore is simply importing what it was told regarding which note is on which staff. If you wish to change the order of the staves (looks like they may have been exported from Cubase in the opposite order of what you might want?), go to Edit / Instruments. If that doesn't help, please explain in more detail what you want to change, and attach the MIDI file, not just a picture of the imported score, so we can assist better.

I realized after my post that the Cubase file was two track- one was melody and the other keyboard treble/bass
