Different Styles for Different Instruments
For what I'm trying to make, I envision the drum set with a swing feel, but the rest of the instruments being straight eighth's. Is there a way for me to apply different styles to different instruments, or change styles half-way through the song? I tried changing the style through the tab on the individual parts, but for some reason it didn't carry over from the part to the full score.

The Swing text from the palette is a system text, so applies to all staves, but if you use a staff text instead and it's properties for setting swing, you can set swing for one staff and straight for another.

When I click onto staff text properties, for "Style Group" it just says Percussion and I can't change it.

that is staff properties, not staff text properties.
Add a staff text (Ctrl+T, some text), rightclick that text, staff text properties...
