Is there a way to double note's values (augmentation)?
I want to pick a certain passage and change every eight note in it to a quarter note and every half note to a whole note for example.

see if the plugin https://musescore.org/en/project/doubletimev20 works.
Had the same problem.
Solution:
- select the full score (so all content) and cut it
- paste "double values" from the Edit menu.
It works :-)

The paste half/double duration commands became available in May of 2019 for MuseScore version 3.1 (and later).
Also, the feature works on a selected range of notes, so the full score (all content) does not need to be selected.
