Crash when accessing MuseScore menu (MS3)

In the process of reporting bugs, I need to retrieve version information through MuseScore/About MuseScore menu.

Several times, the program has crashed on me as soon as I clicked the MuseScore menu item. This behaviour is completely erratic to me and I have not been able to reliably reproduce it.

The last time it happened was during reporting of "Strange (internal?) file names showing (MS3)". Apart from that issue, there was no indication of anything begin wrong at the time of the crash.

To me this behaviour is sufficiently disturbing to warrant a report, even if I cannot consistently reproduce it.
