Ending a line

• Dec 13, 2018 - 03:27

I am a new MuseScore user. I have read through much of the user guide and still have some questions:

  1. Where can I find the tutorial?

  2. When I have finished entering a line of measures, how do I start the next one without leaving unused measures at the end?

  3. If I do have unused measures at the end of a line, how do I get rid of them? There doesn't seem to be the equivalent of a carriage-return/line-feed at the end of my lines.

Thank you,

Howdy, JD. If you "Have read through much of the user guide" and do not have questions you should be in Cambridge working on the "Theory of Everything" or perhaps start your own religion.

As Shoichi pointed out, there are "tutorials" and "how tos" under the SUPPORT column. Sometimes a SEARCH for a specific problem will bring you to a discussion with the answer. I have found it useful to read through discussions now and then because most likely they will solve a problem you will come upon eventually.
IF SEARCH does not work out, use Google or Bing or whatever and it may bring you directly to the relevant MuseScore discussion, or one on You-Tube.

The user guide or handbook can seem overwhelming, but it is laid out in order of priority (beginning with note input). Of course, you will surely come upon a problem you are not yet prepared for, in which case you will find as I have in my 3 months here that folks are very helpful.

Good luck.
