Guitar sound change

In one of my transcriptions, both the lead and rhythm guitars need to use a pedal to switch from a clean sound to a distorted sound; however, there doesn't appear to be a way to do this (as the sounds don't fall under voice channel, like with pizz. / arco for strings).

Since this is quite a common technique for guitars, it'd be useful to be able to change its sound in the playback rather than leave it on one sound and just write in the sound change.
