Problems using audio interface together with musescore

I use a Focusrite scarlett 6i6 with my computer, but when I start up musescore no other sounds work. I hear a little thud from my speakers/headphones when the program starts up and the sound works fine within the program, but no other sounds work. Youtube plays the video but the timestamp is stuck at 00:00 and there is no sound. I'm guessing this has something to do with default drivers or something like that but I can't figure out why it happens. So every time i use Musescore I'm forced to restart my computer so I can hear other things from it. It is a self built stationary (did not build myself though) if this helps with figuring out the problem.
