MuseScore 3

Let me say from the outset, I am a big MuseScore fan. So I eagerly downloaded MuseScore 3. Briefly - I think I hate it and have had nothing but trouble with it. I use OS X 10.12. and have used MuseScore 2.0 totally without issue. I don't know where to begin with my issues with the new offering, but it's sufficient for the sake of brevity, to say the program regularly crashes, this is a very rare occurrence with any application nowadays, at least on Macs. It does seem that the developers are now tinkering with a basically wonderful piece of software just for the sake of it. The features, and I suspect I'm not alone here, that really would be useful, for example, tying notes over repeats, have not been included in favour of irritating features like automatic placement. So what if two elements collided, you could easily drag one item where you wanted. Well not anymore without disabling something or other. Thankfully I still have MuseSore 2 and let me repeat I think its fantastic.

You can use MuseScore 2 and 3 at the same time on the same computer. And if you're really still on 2.0, you'd better have a look ar 2.3.2.
And as long as you don't go into the specifics about what exactly didn't work, crash or you didn't like, there is next to no chance it'll get fixed or explained.
