Publishing Transcriptions
If I transcribed music and published it on this site, could it result in copyright claims? The song I uploaded has been transcribed many times before, and I have stated that I do not own the music.

Yes it can. How many others violated copyright before is irrelevant. Only thing that counts is whether you have the copyright owner's permission.

So how would I go about getting a liscence for publishing this music? Will I need to private it for now?

Depends... musescore.com has agreements in place with several publishers. And will take down scores once the copyright owner requests it.
