Note entry jumping to beginning of measure
I am trying to score some drumset music but once I get halfway through measure and I try to enter a note on, say, the "and" of 3, it will randomly jump to the beginning of the measure and entire it on beat one, even though I clearly have the other beat selected. the only happens when using keyboard entry. what the deal here?

Here is a screen capture of what happening. I am just pressing "b" to try and get a bass drum not appear on beat 3. Beat 3 is obviously selected...why is it a) jumping to voice 2 even though voice 1 is selected and b) why is it putting the note on beat 1?! Video here: https://ufile.io/u6ywe

Please attach your score (or a snippet of it which shows the problem).
Explain exactly what you want to enter on the "and" of 3, what you are expecting to happen, and what happens instead.
Also, you mention using 'keyboard' entry. Please be more precise. For example: 'midi keyboard', 'computer keyboard', 'virtual piano keyboard'.
Finally, it's good practice to mention your OS (operating system) and the version of MuseScore you are using.
The above suggestions will make it much easier for someone to explain what the deal is.
I doubt it's random - more likely, you have changed from voice 1 to voice 2 (eg, by switching from snare drum to bass drum) and haven't yet entered any content into voice 2.
