Songbook playback

Playing back a single voice from an SATB score on my smartphone (Motorola 4G). When there are two consecutive notes of the same pitch (of any, or different values) which are not tied, they are played back as one note (of the total value of the notes) with no discernible break between the two notes. Also occurs when the two notes are separated by a bar line. Is there a setting I can adjust, or does it need a fix? It didn't happen with earlier version of Songbook.
