Problem with the use of 'Ottava 8va alta' and 'Ottava 8va bassa'.

When selecting a 'Ottava' function on the menu 'Add'>'Lines', no matter if it is 'Ottava 8va alta' or 'Ottava 8va bassa', both selections do exactly the same thing: they both place a 8-----. line above the staff. To be correct, the 'Ottava 8va bassa' selection should place a line below the staff (not above). The only correct way to get these 'Ottava' line positions right is to access 'Lines' on the 'Palettes' list.
Also, after placing an 'Ottava' line above and another below, and then unchecking the 'Numbers only' field on the 'Format'>'Style' menu, we see the label 8va-----. on the upper line (which is ok). But, on the lower line, we see the label 8ba----'. I believe that, to be correct, we should see 8vb-----' instead of 8ba----' .

This has been discussed in the forums. The va is the va at the end of the Italian word ottava. This is similar to the "th" in the word 8th in English. Both have been used at various points in history, but 8va alta and 8va bassa are the correct representations of the Italian. I've never used the menu to add a line. I'll have to look at it.
