Drum pallette displays wrong

When I try to enter notes on a drum set staff, the drum pallette opens in a tiny window in the top left of the screen (see screenshot). I'm using Musescore 3.0.5.5992 revision 58dd23d.

If I open the virtual keyboard (by pressing 'P') and move or overlap it, the drum palette disappears.I initially get the tab but if I use the keyboard...

I have to close and reopen MuseScore.

This also occurs with the last Nightly available for Mint (PPA-d4b829c), the piano keyboard (P) replaces the drum palette for entering notes but closing the keyboard makes the drum palette disappear
I don't know if it even happens with a more recent Nightly or if it has already been reported.

I have seen this before, and the user accessed the main menu and that closed the errant drum input palette if I remember correctly.
