Keyboard/note entry - quits

Solved: I plugged the keyboard DIRECTLY INTO THE COMPUTER. When it was connected to the hub, every so often the computer would lost connection with the scanner (in the same hub) and reconnect and this caused my music software to stop detecting the keyboard.
