Getting D.C. al Fine to work for playback purposes in a score
This is the score I am typesetting: https://imslp.org/wiki/Stampede_(Simon%2C_Walter_Cleveland)
It has two sections: "Lively" and a trio. At the end of the first section is a D.C. al Fine. My understanding is that a performance of this work would play the first section executing the bar line repeats, then perform the trio executing the bar line repeats, and then play the first section again executing the D.C. al Fine. Is there a way to get Musescore to playback the work in this manner? Leaving it as it is only the first section is played since the D.C al Fine is executed. I've tried modifying that instruction to have it continue to the first measure of the trio and adding a jump at the end of the trio to take it back to the beginning of the work but that seems to result in an endless playback loop. I've attached the score. Thanks.

I'm not quite clear on what you are saying. One thing you may not know is that you can right click the section break and set the Pause to 0 in the section break properties. Perhaps this is what you need.
I don't understand what you want : if you want the 1st section then the 2nd and then a D.C, why do you put the D.C. at the end of the 1st section ? put it at then end of the2nd . If I am MuseScore, I play the 1st section with the repeats, and I arrive at the end of this section and I read D.C, so I go to the beginning ?????
I'm not a musician. I'm merely copying what appears in the original 1916 publication found on IMSLP. The composer's March Bizarre is laid out in the same manner. My assumption is that it was done this way as a type of shorthand so they didn't have to engrave a third page after the trio which would consist of section one with the D.C. al Fine. I don't think they intended the performer to play section one with the D.C. al Fine and then go to the trio. I think after the repeat of measures 18 to 33 the performer then plays the trio and then goes back to the beginning of the work and executes the D.C. al Fine. I'm thinking the only way to get Musescore to perform it in that fashion is to drop the D.C. al Fine from section one and copy section one to a third section after the trio with the D.C. al Fine. Thanks.

The DC al fine in the score is very normal for a minuet (or scherzo which this is more like) and trio. The first section is played, then a D.C. al fine ends that section. The musicians jump to the trio section after that. Musicians understand it just fine.
There are certain songs that are traditionally played in a different manner than what is notated. You can't force MuseScore to play what you are describing.
