I'm having a similar problem with 3.1.0 running on Windows 10 -- no audio playback. I verified that the Port Audio settings are the same as before the update.

Thanks, Marc.
I did the Revert to Factory Settings, and that solved it. I then checked the PortAudio settings and noticed the Device had changed from Microsoft Sound Mapper to Speakers (2- High Definition Audio Device). I then tried all of the three available settings and they all worked! This leads me to conclude there's a bug somewhere. Of the settings that can stop audio output, which setting, exactly, got changed by the Revert?

Had also trouble with playback while having a (bluetooth) headset on Windows 10 (64 -bit), but this is not a first program, where I encountered this issue. I do not think it is an issue with Musescore, but with Windows. For example my headphones are for some unknown reason viewed by Windows as two channel output media.

To solve this issue with Musescore 3, I started program while the audio was set to default (internal speakers) and connected headphones after Musescore was loaded.
