Sure, just read the Handbook sections on MIDI input for some pointers. but the basic process is the same as with computer keyboard or mouse: select duration, enter note, repeat.

My keyboard is not a MIDI (full) but you are suggesting to look at the Handbook on MIDI input ? What I want to do is play in real time and have this written into a muse score at the same time - is this not possible ?

Not sure what it would mean not be MIDI (full) - it either is or it isn't. if it isn't, you're out of luck. If it is, then you can indeed try out one of the two real-time mode to attempt to play directly into MuseScore. Expect result about on par with what you'd get if you sang lyrics into Siri and asked her to transcribe them...
