File corrupted and I can't find the save I made last night

I was working on a score for the past three months and all of a sudden it said "file corrupted" and when you clicked the show details button, it listed a ton of errors and like "Measure 136 staff 1 incomplete Expected: 4/4 Found: 10/8" So I ignored it and tried to open it again. However it opened the same score but all the progress from the previous day was lost and I saved multiple times yesterday. The amount of progress lost is so much and its not worth having to redo it. I searched everywhere on the system (I have a Mac) but it wouldn't show up. Is there any way to fix this problem? I can't find the same message saying file corrupted anymore.
