delay-length of fermate <> length of note = different?
A fermate delays the relevant note (value).
In MuseScore, this seems to happen differently?
In any case, the "pointed" value of a note does not seem to be included in the extension (due to fermate) of the note-with-point.
See the test score below. And view the speed of the score in the playback panel. It shows that the rhythm (speed) is sooner faster than the length of the note with fermate.
Or am I missing something?

I think you're thrown off because the playhead indicates the position in linear beats within the score, and not the passing of time.
