Better time delay for fermata (on MULTIPLE bar-score)?
In case of more than one bar in a system the fermata does not work as it should work.... expected.
Long note with fermata does not work correct on that note-value (-time) if there is at the same time, in other bar, a shorter note exists.

Interesting observation. FWIW, the word you are looking for is multiple staves per system, number of bars (measures) is not relevant. I point this out only to avoid confusion in further discussion of the topic.
But your use of the word "segment" in the example is 100% correct, that is in fact our internal term for a vertical slice of time.
