Some suggestions for the next update

  1. Change the timbre of the instruments from the brass section (soundfont issue)

What I noticed, mostly from the French horns and trumpets, is that the sound of the instruments at the forte dynamic is unrealistic. The brass is made up of powerful instruments. In fact brass instruments in an orchestra or band, at that dynamic, have more force and "oomph" so they easily stand out. When I compose pieces for orchestra with the French horns, there were moments when they would be drowned out with the rest of the orchestra to the point where I can't hear them as much as I wanted them to. Same goes with the trumpets.

  1. Adjust the vibrato

You guys did a great job implementing this into the instruments that deserve it (especially for strings). However there were moments when I wanna turn down the vibrato or increase the vibrato depending on the context of what I'm composing. Maybe a separate knob for this specific function would be nice.

  1. Single note dynamic change for notes with tremolo

The single note dynamic changes have been one of my all time favorite Musescore updates and I'm extremely grateful for that. However I noticed that you didn't do the same thing with the notes with the tremolo feature. That needs to change.

  1. Change the soundfont for some of these articulations on some instruments

- Strings with the "harmonic" articulation
- Strings with the "snap pizzicato" articulation

  1. Adjust the glissando feature so that it spans two staves at once instead of just one so us Musescore users don't have to do this manually (for piano and harp)

  2. There should be a customized option to choose what empty staves to hide in a score instead of hiding all empty staves.

You don't have to change all of these suggestions. Just offering some things to keep in mind based on my concerns with the latest updates in case you are willing to continue improving your software in the future. :)

1 & 2 are totally sound font dependent and can be fixed by finding a sound font you like. Vibrato is totally inside the sound font and not changed by MuseScore at all.

As I said, in 2.3.2, SND (single note dynamics) on tremolos work fine for me. If you have a score where it's not working, can you attach a sample score and make a picture of the dynamics tab in the synthesizer to go with it. You may want to start a new thread for that.

Ok I see. I'm just worried downloading the free soundfont would take up some RAM in my computer and I wanted to wait until Musescore could tweak their default soundfont instead. But I'll give it a try for my next score I'm uploading soon because the solo violin does not sound good at the moment.

Also here's the score that I updated a few days ago where the tremolo issue is more noticeable as well as the dynamics tab. For some reason, the tremolo SND still doesn't work for me.

I use CC11 for dynamics (see https://musescore.org/en/node/290616#Using-CC11) and I hear all dynamic changes for notes with tremolos on them. I even added a p to the start of each tremolo (roll) on the timpani starting in measure 12 and the dynamic change was extremely obvious. I did this only for the effect, not for interpretation reasons. I think it's unfortunate that CC2 was declared the default SND method when CC11 almost always works in existing sound fonts.

As far as downloading a soundfont, most computer now days won't run out of memory if you find an interesting soundfont and download it.
