Clicking "Load from Score" or "Load Default" in the Synthesizer yields results irrespective of the actual saved configurations

I started to have this problem a few hours ago and am at a loss; neither restarting my computer, nor uninstalling and reinstalling Musescore has done anything. This has never happened in my years of using Musescore. Clicking either of the two above-specified buttons merely adds a horrible mess of soundfonts to my default active list, duplicating some occasionally. It doesn't matter which score I use, I even tested scores I haven't opened in years and the problem persisted. I am using the latest version of Musescore, Musescore 3.2.3.7635.
