Text Lyrics

I am teaching a small church group music class for children ages 5-10 years old. I am introducing them to various instruments. For the keyboard, I would like to create simple versions of songs for them to play with 2 hands. When I write the lyrics, the shift from below the G clef to the C cleff as the notes change. Is there a way to keep all lyrics on the same line, below the G cleff? Is there a way to lose all the rests on the staff where notes aren't played? Thank you. JESUS_LOVES_ME_2.mscz
