Rhythm symbols above stave
Hi
I'm trying to add a crotchet beat, a crotchet and a minum rest above the stave where the chords go in a lead sheet to indicate when the rhythm/chordal instruments stop playing. But I'm having difficulty in doing this.
Is this at all possible?? Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Not sure if the attached is something like what you're looking for.
Used voice 3 to enter the rhythm (because automatically stems up).
Then use selection filter to only select voice 3 stuff.
Range select and then filter out notes using the inspector; uncheck "play" and tick "small" in the "Chord"-section. Check "fix to line" with a value of 0 (prevents ledger lines from showing up). Then give the chord a Y-offset to put it above the staff
Range select, this time filter for rests; check "small" and give the element a Y-offset to align them above the staff as well.
This is just one way to achieve this effect.
Another way would be to add an extra staff to your instrument to notate the rhythm on and play with its advanced staff properties to make it single line, not show most of the staff things and make it a cutaway staff so it only shows up when there's actual content in it., You'll probably also need to tweak the position of that staff within the system (fixed spacer or negative staff distance above settings)
The simple way is to place the notes & rests in voice 3 then use Tools / Toggle Rhythmic Slash Notation. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/tools#toggle-rhythmic-slash-notation
