MS 3 Beta corrupting audio of other Mac apps
OS: macOS 10.14, Arch.: x86_64, MuseScore version (64-bit): 3.3.0.23559, revision: f94c273
I know this sounds too crazy to believe, but not only does MS3 Beta offer unexpected clicks, pops, and other audio boga during playback (in a way MS2 never did), but induces other apps, such as browser mp3 playback and iTunes, to do the same!! Close MS and it all gets better. More investigation in progress, but right now this seems to be the case.

I'm not making this up. Just now, I was experiencing occasional (but very annoying) clicks and pops playing back a score from the web. I closed the totally quiescent desktop app, and the web score played perfectly. Obviously, this is a deficiency or flaw of some kind in Mac audio support, but MS is doing something that provokes it.

I've read in some threads that on some Mac/Linux systems the default audio frequency is 48kHz. It seems that when MuseScore starts it forces this to 41kHz, which might affect other audio programs already opened.
I'm not aware of any details on this issue though.

!!@#"!@#"!@#"!@#"!@#!@#"!@#!@#"!@"!# "Other than setting a global audio-system parameter, there's nothing MuseScore is doing that should affect anything else...." Isn't this what in politics is called "a smoking gun", or am I misunderstanding? As per Python (Monty) doesn't it deserve in big red letters a (L.V.) warning, "WARNING: CHANGES GLOBAL AUDIO SYSTEM"...

I did start, play, and close the app and play audio from Firefox and did not see audio output sample rate in the Audio Midi Setup applet vary from 44,100.
