Trumpet has wrong dynamics Musescore 4.5.1
Windows 10 on Musescore 4.5.1 using Musesounds.
Some notes play Fortissimo and Staccato when mp dynamic is applied for a certain range. The musescore file has the examples.
Also when I preview the sound of a trumpet note on the piano keyboard (press P to bring it up), certain ranges play too loud. F5 to B5 plays extra loud. C6 to G6 plays fortissimo instead of medium weight.

Yes. But on my system, change the dynamic to almost any other (like p or f) and the problem goes away. There are indeed many problems with Muse sounds. Until (or if) there is a fix, I suggest using a different dynamic for the instrument and adjusting the fader in the mixer. In this case either turn the fader up and use lower dynamics. Or turn the fader down and use higher dynamics. Whichever gives the best overall result. X noteheads tend to play shorter.
